Sensei Larry Mcquaid (Eire)
Sensei Larry McQuaid Sensei Larry Mcquaid Started his ShinKen-Do training under Sensei Jason Morris in Mullagh Co.Cavan Ireland. November 1999.
After a training session consisiting of 5 nights a week 2 hours and after gaining his brown Belt 3 years later Sensei Larry sort further instruction from our head and founder instructor Sensei Steve Joseph.. He is an all rounder in the art of ShinKen-Do being particularly masterful at Joint Restraints and weapons knife defence.
Sensei Larry McQuaid runs succcessful Dojos in the Ballyjamesduff and Ballyconnell area of Co.Cavan.
A very pasionate instructor Sensei Larry runs a strict and discipline training regime and hopes to bring students to their full potential whether in ShinKen-Do martial arts training or through individuals right choices in everyday life.

 


Sensei Mark Mills (UK)
Sensei Mark MillsSensei Mark Mills began his ShinKen-Do training in 2004 Milton Keynes. He came to Sensei Steve Joseph having a background in Tae Kwon Do and unarmed urban combat.
Having greatly admired the art and in particularly its diversity to Self Defence, Sensei Mills found the perfect system that fitted his then occupation as Head Doorman. Sensei Mark Mills has been taken and train under Sensei Steve Joseph as one of 10 only private students.
A gifted and talented instructor and martial artist, Sensei Mark Mills is greatly admired by his students for his friendhip and help and has a huge respect from Sensei Steve Joseph for his hard work, dedicaton and contribution to the continued development and growth of ShinKen-Do.

Sensei Raza Gani (UK)
Sensei Raza GaniSensei Raza Gani began his ShinKen-Do training in East London 1993 under Sensei Steve Joseph.
He is a gifted and talented all rounder in every discipline of ShinKen-Do something that is rarely seen.
Sensei Gani’s passion for training and teaching continues to inspire his class colleagues. He holds regular training sessions with Sensei Steve Joseph as one of his 10 only private students. His plans is to further take his beloved art of ShinKen-Do to a global audience, showing the beauty and technical aspect of this his chosen martial art.

Senseii Mark Flynn (Eire)
Sensei Mark Flynn Sensei Mark Flynn Began his training in ShinKen-Do in 1998 Mullagh Co.Cavan Ireland.
His first Instructor Sensei Jason Morris saw great potential in Mark and trained him extensively in ShinKen-Do one to one tuition and furthermore took him to numerous martial arts competitons throughout Ireland and overseas.
Sensei Mark Flynn runs a successful ShinKen-Do Dojo in Cavan town and makes regular trips to London England training under Sensei Steve Joseph.

 

 

Sensei James Flynn (Eire)
Sensei James FlynnSensei James Flynn Began his training in ShinKen-Do in 1998 Mullagh Co.Cavan Ireland.
His first Instructor Sensei Jason Morris trained him extensively in ShinKen-Do alongside his brother one to one tuition and furthermore took him to numerous martial arts competitons throughout Ireland.
A really dedicated student and a passionate instructor, Sensei James Flynn spends most of his free time training his pupils raising each individual to his and her best technical ability.
Sensei James Flynn runs a successful ShinKen-Do Dojo in Cavan town and makes regular trips to London England training under Sensei Steve Joseph.

Sensei David Barret(UK)
Sensei David Barrett Sensei David Barrett ShinKen-Do training started in 2003. He trains extensively seven days a week and runs a hugely successful Dojo in the South and South East of London. Despite his training schedule he is an actor and fight choreographer. Sensei David Barrett is highly skillful in all aspect and in particular noticeably he has an incredible kicking array.
He continues to train rigorously and is one of Sensei Steve Joseph 10 only private students.
Through the media he hopes to have the world recognise the power and spirit of ShinKen-Do as a self defence system and a martial art.

 

Sensei Angeal Mcquaid (Eire)
Sensei Angeal McQuaid Sensei Angeal McQuaid begand her training in ShinKen-Do in 2003 under Sensei Larry McQuaid.
Having achieved the position of Sempai she runs the Ballyjamesduff and surrounding dojos with her husband.
Technically skill in all aspects of ShinKen-Do, Sensei Angeal continues to teach and train on a regular basis in the Co.Cavan area in Ireland and frequently visits London England to train with Sensei Steve Joseph.

 

 

Sensei Tommy O’Connor(Eire)
Sensei Tommy O'ConnorSensei Tommy O’Connor came to ShinKen-Do training in 2001 having trained Wado Ryu and Mugendo Kickboxing. In his words “there was something missing”.
After witnessing a class held in his local Town (Mullagh Ireland) Sensei O’Connor was taken by the various and fluidity of ShinKen-Do techniques and movements from strikes to Locks and restraints. A renewed passion grew for this new martial arts training and he started to train with Sensei Jason Morris that later on led him to venture and sort Sensei Steve Joseph for further instruction. Sensei Tommy O’Connor continues to travel to London on a regular basis and trains personally with senior members of Sun Kune Do and taught under Sensei Steve Joseph. He conducts a successful school in the Mullagh Co.Cavan area in Ireland.

Sensei Patrick O’Connor(Eire)
Sensei Patrick O’Connor began his trainning under his father Sensei Tommy O’Connor.
After acheiveing his grade of 1st Dan after 6 years training Sensei Patrick took over his father school Dojo and now runs the ShinKen-Do school Dublin.
A passionate instructor to his pupils and a perfectionist, Sensei Patrick O’Connor is the only Sensei given permission to conduct tuition to members as young as 8 years
Over the years his school has grown from strength to strength. Sensei Patrick makes frequent trips to London and continues his training with Sensei Steve Joseph.

 

Sensei Evelyn King O’Connor(Eire)
Sensei Evelyn King O’Connor started her training in Sun Kune Do alongside her husband Sensei Tommy O’Connor.
She is technically skill in all aspect of Sun Kune Do and regarded by Sensei Steve Joseph as a great technician and embassador to ShinKen-Do Self Defence for women and men alike.
She makes regular trips to London and holds a training regime that consist of 11am start till 6pm finish with Sensei Steve Joseph at the famous Peacock gymnasium.
She conducts a class at the successful Dojo in Mullagh Co.Cavan area.

 

Sensei Michael Jonathan (New Zealand)
Sensei Michael Jonathan Started his training firstly in Tae Kwon Do. After a sparring session with Sensei Steve Joseph, he became hugely attracted to the joint locks low level kicks and throws of Sun Kune Do. After a one to one session that consited of 3 hours a day four days a week over the next five years Sensei Michael went back to his County of Origin New Zealand. He runs 6 schools/Dojos and is the Head Instructor of the New Zealand ShinKen-Do Organisation that which is a member of the International ShinKen-Do Organisation.

 

 

Sensei Shaun Downey(USA)
Sensei Shaun Downey began is training in London in 1996 and having achieve his instructorship he ventured to his Country of birth and began ShinKen-Do in the San Francisco area.
Sensei Shaun has and continues to have a huge passion for training and is very proud to having first introduce the art to his homeland.
After having introduce the art to his homeland Sensei Shaun was confronted with challenges in the bay area. Adhering to his training under Sensei Steve Joseph, Sensei Shaun dismayed those challenges. One challenge bout in particuliar he could not avoid and accepted. With his entire school looking on Sensei Shaun control the unamed Sensei into a restraint lock ending the bout without no injury to either parties. His reputation grew and furthermore help to develop the ShinKen-Do Dojos in the USA.


Sensei Kathleen O’Connell
Sensei Kathleen O’Connor Started he rtraining under sensei Jason Morris firstly in the Kickboxing aspect of ShinKen-Do.
Having a greater interest in the art Sensei Kathleen trained extensively in the syllabus and now ventures to London for further instruction from Sensei Steve Joseph.
Highly respected by Sensei Steve Joseph, Sensei Kathleen O’Connell is said also to be an embassador the ShinKen-Do Self Defence for women. She is technically skill in both strikes and joint restraints.
